his study is a rhetorical analysis of multi-direct marketing discourse. The purposes are to explore the rhetorical vision of multi-direct marketing discourse, and to evaluate its persuasiveness. This study chose NU SKIN International Co. as object of analysis. Research results showed that multi-direct marketing discourse constructed a rhetorical vision of rebirth. This rhetorical vision was presented through two contrasting worlds with contrasting setting themes, character themes, and action themes. Through two contrasting worlds, the discourse showed that multi-direct marketing enterprise was the only chance of rebirth. The rhetorical vision and fantasy themes found in multi-direct marketing discourse shared similar spirits of religious discourse, which might be the major cause of multi-direct marketing discourse ’s persuasiveness.
