This study explored the impact on routine of TV news production. By interviewing 30 TV journalists from five TV stations, this study analied the three perspectives of news routines: production process, organization institutionalization, and reporting strategy. Overall, this study found that the product placement in TV news has been formed a spcial routine which is different from ordinary news. It seems there are tow assembly lines in one news factory. This paper concluded the formation of the specific routine will give product placement institutionalization and legitimation. Organization member learn how to deal with the news production through routine. It raised a crisis that news will be polluted unless product placement can be regulated.
