An unprecedented group, named ‘Information Exchanging Mechanism’, is formed between Taiwan’s TV journalists, every beat respectedly, through the internet platform of MSN. Because the medias those journalists belong to does not prohibit, even recognize, the weird mechanism, it develops a controlling and ritualistic function. If a journalist does not attend the ‘Information Exchanging Mechanism’ before hitting the street, he (or she) will come across some obstacles during the process of covering stories. This article tries to use the concept of Nash Equilibrium in the Game Theory to analyze the special Mechanism, in order to know how it becomes a predominant strategy for TV journalists in Taiwan. Also, this article find out that almost 2/3 news in TV news program are homogenized. Those reporters who attend the mechanism in order to lower the risk of missing information, in the long run, are forced to keep working during their leisure time. The conclusion is that, except for the special competitive structure, rating mechanism developed in Taiwan contains the causal power which makes the ‘Information Exchanging Mechanism’ happened.
