Incorporating features from miscellaneous web services, microblogs aroused wide popularity around the world soon after the launch of the first microblog website.In contrast to the public enthusiasm, academic attention on microblogging so far was unproportionate and limited to Twitter and Plurk only. Intending to establish a holistic understanding of the incentives provided by microblog websites, this paper adopted Technology Acceptance Model to investigate, with online survey over all microblog websites in Taiwan, the influence of "perceived ease to use", "perceived usefulness"and "perceived playfulness" over the microblog usage. According to the result, "perceived ease to use" and "perceived usefulness" did induce users to adopt microblogs, and the perception of ease to use could affect the perception of usefulness and playfulness. However, users would not choose to use a microblog website simply because of the characteristic of playfulness.
