本研究從敘事型態、媒體/電視產業結構與市場、電視市場機制、國族與文化認同、文本產製的政經脈絡等角度,對電視劇《光陰的故事》進行脈絡式的文本分析,發現《光陰的故事》是十九世紀以降,全球化懷舊脈絡下的媒介產物,其敘事風格延續台灣本土懷舊中,溫情、物件化、去大事件、漂白歷史記憶的型態。台灣媒體和電視市場的高度商業病態,一方面促使文本的溫情化、物件化、結構性記憶更甚,迫使敘事無法建立歷史脈絡和厚度;另一方面也促成文類的揉雜,使懷舊商業符碼與時下偶像劇、羅曼史公式緊密結合,再現了時下流行文化中的性別與愛情政治。此外,文本在敘事上的結構性記憶和歪斜表述,顯露出外
省族群的認同焦慮,一則反映了李登輝政權以降,台灣本土化運動論述建立的「政治正確」已如同論述霸權,獲得普遍的政治正當性;二則接合2008年,作為外省族群第二代的馬英九經過解嚴、政治民主化、民進黨政權後,以民主方式當選總統,使外省族群重獲政治正當性的政治情境;三則揭露八○年代以降,眷村大量改建後,外省族群的集體失落。而全劇在2008年下半年至2009上半年的製播過程中,獲得各族群觀眾的迴響,除了政治論述上的政治正確,也因成功\地在全球金融風暴、經濟蕭條之際,以溫情的基調召喚「往日物質貧乏但心靈富裕」的懷舊感,接合時下觀眾在經濟困境中的情緒,才得以用低廉的成本、簡陋的場景,在八點檔電視劇市場中引起關注和話題。因而《光陰的故事》中的虛構眷村「自
強一村」,其實近似Foucault 筆下的「補償性差異地點」,以美化和迴避「想像」出帶著健康寫實風格的往日眷村,實則卻欲「補償」台灣當前社會的污穢、病態和混亂,包括外省族群的認同焦慮、本土化霸權、商業機制的混亂、媒體市場失調等狀況,同時揭露了文化菁英藉由強勢媒介和文化資源,發展特定集體經驗的敘事模式而涉入認同政治、進而可能造成詮釋權壟斷的文化現象。

This research interpret the nostalgia politics of soap opera “Story of Time” from the perspectives of narrative style, media / TV industry structure and market,television market mechanism, national ethnic and cultural identity, and the political and economic context by contextualized text analysis. This paper finds that “Story of Time” is a media product of global nostalgia. The narrative style, which is “warm”,object-oriented, and de-historicized, is in the continuation of Taiwanese nostalgia. The
morbid media markets of Taiwan result in the incapability of historical depth of “Story of Time”. It also contributes to the hybrid genre mixed by the nostalgic codes,idol dramas and romance formulas, and reproduces the gender politics and love politics in popular culture. In addition, the mainlanders’ ethnic identity anxiety is shown through the structural memory of narrative and the skew statements. First, it reflects that the Taiwan localization movement of Lee Teng-hui regime has established the "political correctness" and became a kind of hegemony. Second, it joins the political situation of Ma Ying-jeou, as a second-generation mainlanders, who wins the president election democratically after the end of martial law and the DPP regime, and makes mainlanders regain the political legitimacy in 2008. Third, it reveals that the mainlanders felt lost emotionally after massive rebuilding of
Dependents Village. Therefore, the fictional Dependents Village in “Story of Time” is similar to Foucault ’s " heterotopias of compensation”, which "imagines" a fair Dependents Village by beautifying and evading the real history, but in fact it "compensates" the chaos, such as the mainlanders’ ethnic identity anxiety, hegemony of localization and the confusion of media commercial structures in current society.Lastly, it reveals that the cultural elite may monopoly the interpretation by developing the specific narrative patterns through strong media and cultural resources.
