The Critical Factors of Influencing Consumers’ Willingness to Adopt Digital Online Reading by Diffusion of Innovation Theory:A Study on Mag V Online Reading
Based on Roger’s diffusion of innovation model, this research intends to examine the critical factors that affect consumers’ willingness to adopt digital online reading. Meanwhile, this research aims to discuss how these innovation characteristics; media-use; lifestyle and surface legibility of online reading affect consumers’ different willing intensity. Using survey method, the results indicate the critical factors affecting the willingness of adoption are as follows: ―relative advantage‖, ―compatibility‖, ―complexity‖, ―triability‖, ―observability‖, consumers’ media-use, individual innovation, technology clustering and lifestyle. While, there are no significant difference in surface legibility of online reading and demographic variables.
