In this study, the researchers try to discuss what people think about expose reporting and their attitude of expose reporting. And we also explore the correlation of expose reporting, media trust, media content, and the ethics of interview. Finally, we try to understand audiences’ expectation and imagination toward expose reporting.
The results show that though the audiences understand the commercialization of the media, they still believe expose reporting can achieve the goal of social justice. Those who support expose reporting incline to trust media and the reporting more, and give more autonomy of interview. What’s more, those who support expose reporting hope news media can play an important role in supervising the government and facilitate audiences’ knowledge, not just revealing the information. We consider the results emphasis the social responsibility in news media again.
