The objectives of this study mainly approach to how parody performers who mimic celebrities and politicians display the humor, and the relevance between the similarity and the degree of audiences’ perception. Besides, in the study researcher tries to figure out if audiences’ reaction would differ according to the mocked characters ’ political tendency. The result of the study shows that audience can perceive more sense of humor when the performance is more similar to the characters the parody performers mimic; audiences perceive less sense of humor if the performance is less similar to the mocked characters. The humor triggered through high similarity makes audience laugh on account of incongruity; the humor triggered through little similarity makes audiences laugh on account of disparage.
