This paper aims to know if the ethics changed in a multimedia environment, and tries to examine the factors which may influence people to think about news content and the ways journalist interviewing. From large-scale survey of 1026 people, it is found that there is no influence between people’s media content ethics and their media exposure, news trust, but controlled by their personal ethics. High internet news exposure makes people more open to the representation way of news, and high TV news trust makes people willing to accept some controversial interviewing ways, including news replacement, private and simulated representation. In the multimedia age, people have different news ethics from before, that means we should rethink what is the suitable “news media ethics” to news workers and audience.
