Base on rich video materials of TTV Evening News offered by Taiwan television media, this thesis will do narrative analysis on people’s livelihood and consumption news in Taiwan supported by quantitative investigation and qualitative research. There are five angles of narrative analysis when confronted with topic, namely, theme of narration, way of narration, value of narration, programming of narration and effect of narration. The purpose of the thesis is not only confined to the facade data, but also aims at the deeper thinking and study of the relationship between essence and regulation, politics and economy, culture and society.
