Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival has its long history, which exerts a great influence on many filmmakers and cinephiles in Taiwan. However, the traditional media is moving into an era of emancipation. Not only does it accelerate the flow of image, symbol and culture, but such transformation has also prompted the reconstruction of society. As a consequence, audience can now enjoy the film culture in a more diverse and more convenient way, and with the emergence of digital technology, the reception and perception of the audience have undergone a dramatic change. Under the trend of digital propagation, the interaction between traditional media and audience also starts to change. The existence of old media has been given a new definition. Therefore, this present study will employ audience’s embodied experiences as a blueprint and take the cinema as a material object. This study adopts qualitative methodology, including in-depth interview, field study and secondary data analysis. Finally, this study will propose the finding and reflection on the cultural meaning of cinema and film festival in digital age
