雖然疑病症並非網路時代所獨有，但網路傳播的種種特性恰好撥動了健康焦慮者的「恐懼之弦」，催生「網路疑病症」者。這些人聚集在「疑病症吧」中，進行自省式的表露：回憶疑病經歷、反省疑病源起。本文以網路健康傳播為框架，對疾病敘述進行理論化的文本分析，以建構網路與健康焦慮之間的關聯，從而探討網路時代健康傳播的效果和問題。

研究發現：網路健康資訊的確會造成健康焦慮，但這種影響並非直接作用於用戶，而是建立在個體焦慮性格的基礎上。具體而言，網路健康資訊與其它管道的健康傳播一道成為引起健康焦慮的誘因；這些誘因在疑病症那裡激起嚴重的恐慌，且恐慌會隨著網路「搜病」愈演愈烈。究其原因，網路健康資訊的唾手可得、意料之外的健康資訊、由於缺乏把關而普遍存在的錯誤資訊以及疑病者的選擇性接受都是滋生疑病的土壤。

從研究中我們可以推論：資訊時代人們更加博聞廣識，但同時也更加焦慮。從這個角度講，「使用」網路健康資訊除了「滿足」之外還可能產生「恐慌」，網路健康傳播絕非一條坦途。然而，儘管存在種種問題，只要對健康資訊進行合理的選擇、利用、管理，進行相應的心理調適，網路健康傳播依舊是一次醫學革命，是健康的福音。

Although hypochondriasis is not unique to Internet, the various characteristics of Internet communication just struck “the chords of fear” in the hypochondriacs, thus producing “cyber-chondrias”. These people gathered in a virtual community, to disclosure introspectively, including recalling hypochondriacs experience and reflecting on the origin of anxiety. With the Internet health communication framework, this paper made theoretical text analysis on the illness narratives, to construct the correlation between Internet and health anxiety and to consider the effects and problems of health communication in the era of Internet.

The study found that: Internet health information did cause health anxiety. However it’s based on the individual anxiety characters instead of a direct effect. Specifically, the online health information, with other channels of health communication, is one of the main causes of health anxiety; these incentives provoke serious panic in the hypochondriacs, and the panic will intensify with the online disease search. Among the reasons, the handy, extra, false Internet health information and the users’ selective receive are all the ground of hypochondriasis.

From the study we can deduce: in the information age, people are more knowledgeable, but at the same time are more fear. From this perspective, “the use of” Internet health brings “satisfactions” as well as “anxieties”. Internet health communication is absolute not a royal road. However, despite so many problems, as long as the users make a reasonable choice and management of health information, and make a corresponding psychological adjustment, the 2 Internet health communication is still a medical revolution, and a gospel of health.
