In the age of digital convergence, this article looks at how journalists can
accumulate social capital through the extension of various communication tools
to operate networks. First, it discusses journalists need to understand their media
culture toolbox in order to be able to discover the affordances for the different tools.
Secondly, from the integration of social capital and personal connections, how do
journalists use different means of communication to demonstrate diversified selftrusts?
Under these two directions, this article further deepens the relationship
between communication tools and social capital, provides people with creative
situations that media culture toolbox and crystallization of human networks.
