Recently, people suggest that the ephemeral social media can reduce privacy
concerns and enhance the sense of enjoyment while using social media. Based on
Privacy Calculus Theory, the study investigate the effect of two crucial elements
-privacy and enjoyment- on three dimension of self-disclosure behaviors between
Instagram Stories users with different social anxiety tendencies. The research
found that social anxiety only moderate the effect of the honesty dimension of
self-disclosure. Moreover, Instagram Stories would provide more enjoyment and
reduce privacy concern, which corresponds with former researches. Overall, people
disclosure more on Instagram Stories, and the content of posts tend to be more
positive and authentic.
