Social networking sites have already been major platforms for political discussions
these days, but how many students will make political statement through them?
What is the reason that makes most of students stay conservative and caution
on social networking sites? This research attempts to add the concept of "privacy
concern", and tries to study political discussions from college students on social
networking sites with echo chamber effect and supplemented by impression
management theory which is seldom used to discuss political issues in political
communication sphere, explain the relations between exposures to opposite
opinions and political discussions on social networking sites through a whole new
perception.
