21 世紀隨著數位化、資通訊科技的進展與網路寬頻普及後,影像內容的傳 播模式就內容生產、媒介使用與觀眾的關係都產生前所未有的翻轉。網路媒體 的出現同樣給予傳統紀錄片的製作與傳播帶來新的可能性;尤其結合新傳播媒 介的營運模式、頻寬、IT 技術、互動設計、數位策展思考已改變觀者對於紀錄 片「真實」的詮釋與理解方式。本文企圖藉由耙梳紀錄片歷史與理論、網路媒 體理論與技術運用,並以近年加拿大國家電影局(National Film Board of Canada, NFB)的與各大媒體機構可於網路參閱的紀錄片為例進行分析,歸納紀錄片結合 網路科技特徵,期能描繪這一階段紀錄片的輪廓與可能的限制,裨益創作者與 研究者參酌。

With the advance of digitization, progress of information technology and wider bandwidth in the 21th Century the communication model of imagery content in terms of its production, media and audience experiences unprecedented flip-flops. The advent of web media brought about new possibilities to the production and propagation of traditional documentaries. In association with the business models of new media, band-widths. IT technology, interactive design and digital curations it will reshape the ways audiences interpret and understand realities in documentaries. This article intents to analyze samples of documentaries on the internet made available recently by the Canadian NFB as well as other major media institutions by reviewing history, theories and technical applications of documentaries and web media in order to deduce the technical characteristics of new media documentaries and the audience's extent of participation and interpretation of "realities". This research hopes to outline the development of documentaries in this stage with potential limitations for media creators and researchers' references.
