雖然台灣學界曾提出:不應再使用T/SSCI作為評鑑依據之主張,問題依然存在。透過媒介考古,研究發現,高等㔁育商品化本身即為大學發展的一個過程,文化治理技術與相對應的「主要論述」是大學在不同時期轉變的核心。如今,數學成了主要論述、成了當代文化治理的技術。雖然許多在地學者試圖擺脫全球生產鏈,研究者對於網路的依賴與人工智慧高度發展,加上疫情使網路活動成為新常態,使得當代學者依舊擺脫不了以量化來衡量學術價值的宿命。
This research aims to explore the issue of the commodification of higher education and globalized knowledge production. Numerous Taiwanese scholars advocated that the academia should not regard T/SSCI (Taiwan/ Social Sciences Citation Index) as the norm of academic evaluation. However, today T/SSCI still influences the production of knowledge. This research applies media archaeology approach. Through reviewing the history of university, this research argues that the commodification of higher education is the nature of the evolution of university. Evidences show that the transformation of university significantly correlates with the cultural governance of different eras. The main discourse of the cultural governance is the core which impacts on the development of universities. Today the main discourse of cultural governance is the language of computer science.
