The rise of the Internet and social media has affected journalists' news production processes and their relationships with sources. This research uses the " hierarchy of influences model " as the structure, focusing on the reporters of the TV station's life group, and using the method of participant observation and in-depth interviews to observe the decision of TV news reporters in choosing internet information, and how to cite Internet sources and verify. This study finds that collecting material from the Internet has become a routine for TV news reporters, but most of the sources of news on the Internet are disposable contacts, which are different from the long-term operation of journalists and sources in the past. However, Internet information collection is influenced by different influence such as individuals, routines, media organizations, and external institutions.
