本研究以華語（Mandarin）歌曲【玻璃心】（Fragile）的 YouTube 留言作為語料庫，分析全球分散的留言者如何透過社交媒介協商彼此的華裔（ethnic Chinese） 身份。首先本研究檢視與探討了身份建構的相關理論，尤其聚焦於身份如何透過社交媒介被協商出來；其次，回顧了華裔諸社群的歷史和媒介環境，作為理解【玻璃心】為什麼可以引發散佈在全球的評論者對於自身或他人的華裔身份的激烈討論，以及理解這些討論的歷史與媒介環境背景；其三，說明方法論取徑，包括批判論述分析（ critical discourse analysis, CDA ）與語料庫輔助論述分析 （corpus-assisted discourse analysis, CADS）、方法，包括語料庫分析程序與工具、 以及所分析的資料的特徵；最後說明分析結果。

 Using the YouTube comments of the Mandopop song “Fragile” as a corpus, this study analyzes how globally dispersed commenters negotiate their ethnic Chinese identity with others through social media. First, the research literature on identity construction is reviewed, with a particular focus on how identity is negotiated through social media. Secondly, the history and media environment of the ethnic Chinese communities is reviewed, as a context to understand why “Fragile” sparked heated discussions among globally dispersed commenters about their own or others’ ethnic Chinese identities, as well as to understand the historical and media context of these discussions. Third, the methodological approach, including critical discourse analysis (CDA) and corpus-assisted discourse analysis (CADS), including corpus analytical process and tools, and data, are discussed. Finally, the results of the analysis are explained.
