This paper addresses the digitalization of the sonic field by employing the technomathematical approach of German media theories. Following Kittlerian three marked stages of the alphabet, of analogue media and of computer, the project places special emphasis on the mathematical dimension of the final stage in terms of Kittler’s articulation of Lacanian Real and Fourier Transform on the issue of Time Axis Manipulation. With the technique of simulating human perception and manipulating sound events, the universal machine computer, which can then create any music in operation of numerical values, highlights later Kittler’s concern with cultural mathematics.
