China today has become an important figure on the world political, economic cultural and even military stages. The increase of the nation ’s overall strength and the fast growth of its economy have already laid a solid foundation for China ’s media to march toward the center of the world information and communication from the periphery.
This article analyses both the historic opportunities and harsh challenges that China ’s international media are facing in the age of globalization. Specific strategies for China ’s media to compete effectively in the world information market have been suggested.
