This paper conceives that the traditional media play an important role in the modern community. Under this assumption, today’s mass media can be studied from the original intention of community. The community relationship has been set up in the mass media. In order to keep up competitive superiority over the internet and the others, the traditional media advance the function of community. The traditional media enhance the interaction and add to the content of life. Making a comparison between the internet and the traditional media, the function of community in the latter points to the real community, on the contrary, the internet sets up a fictitious community. The mass media give more of services to the real community. The central point at issue is that a positive community culture of mass media might be set up in the traditional media.
