公民營報紙總統選舉新聞之公正性研究

本研究的主要目的，在分析台灣地區的報紙如何報導本屆總統選舉，並比較公民營報紙選舉新聞之公正性。本研究採內容分析法，分析選舉前三個月，六家報紙的選舉新聞報導。研究結果顯示，公民營報紙的選舉新聞均有政治偏差現象，但無論在引用消息來源、報導數量及新聞給人的整體印象方面，公營報紙的政治偏差情形均較為嚴重。

This paper examines how newspapers reported the campaign and candidates during the 2000 Presidential Election in Taiwan. Results of this study showed that state-owned newspapers were far more likely than privately owned newspapers to give greater coverage to the ruling party candidate, to use ruling party officials as news source, and to offer more news coverage favorable to the ruling party candidate than to other candidates.
