傳播理論這堂課在研究所階段的重要性無庸置疑。但是它的範圍實在太廣,不但學生上完課之後常常還不知道重點,老師們也對於要教些甚麼有很大的歧見。為了提出傳播理論教學上的建言,本文先回顧了James Carey 與Robert Craig 對於傳播理論的範疇,接著分析了國內傳播教育環境的問題,對照文獻與國內的教學內容,很清楚地顯露出目前教學內容的偏差。本文最後則對於如何改進傳播理論教育提出五點建議。
英文摘要
There is no doubt that the course of Communication Theory in the graduate school is highly important. Communication theory itself, however, has a great variety of coverage, which not only makes students confused but makes teachers disagree with each other on what to teach as well. In order to improve this situation, this paper reviews the works of James Carey and Robert Craig on the coverage of communication theory first, and then tries to identify the problems we are facing. Five
suggestions are being proposed at the end of this paper.
