In feminist view, Habermas ’ model of the public sphere is attractive, because it highlights an open dialogue and equal access of different parties. But as many dialogue propositions do it presupposes an equal access and the same weight of different "voices", the model is somewhat impractical in the class society。Besides, Habermas insists that argumentation is the only proper way to reach rational conclusions between contesting parties, and this puts more constraint on less advantage groups for whom argumentation is not their way of communication. Feminists, therefore, criticiz Habermas for his blindness to sex, class and other social differences , and propose a model of multiple public spheres and a particularistic view as alternatives.
