This paper is the first attempt ever to examine the ethical considerations of Chinese journalism students. Based on a national survey, this paper finds that, on the whole, Chinese journalism students showed a more relaxed attitude to toward some questionable reporting practices. The results of this study showed that Chinese students ’ college experiences exerted some influences on their development of journalistic ethical considerations, but the influences tended to be mostly negative ones. The paper discusses some other possible factors influencing these students ’ ethical considerations and provides some suggestions for the improvement of the situation.
