Violence, Women and the Press: Sexual Violence in the News

本文研究以彭婉如遇害為個案，分析社會各行動者如何看待女性性暴力的問題，並探究報紙如何呈現性暴力問題之面向。研究發現，由於事件的嚴肅，彭婉如案之報導並不如師大強暴案等有曖昧的娛樂性質，女性消息來源也受到較多的重視。但新聞媒體一方面呈現女性團體的意見，歸咎於教育、立法等制度性的因素，但另一方面也將強暴視為少數的個人與變態者所為，忽視性暴力現象中，加／被害人為男／女的結構性宰制與歧視。

The article, analysing ’Peng Wun-ru ’ murder news, explores how newspapers present sexual violence and how social actors deal with the problem of sexual violence against women.We found that reports about Peng lack of entertainment,as showed on some rape news, and female resourses get more attention. On one side, the press present women ’s opinions, attributing to education or legismation,etc., on the other side, the press present that rapes are done by somepeople insane,neglecting male/female structural domination and discrimination between rapists and victims.
