Rethinking the audience paradigms under the globalization context: The audience imagination as a social practice viewpoint
This thesis aims to examine under the globalization context the paradigms of audience research which are able to offer the appropriate analysis framwork to explain the changing audience landscape or not. After reviewing the Active Audience Paradigm and the Spectacle/Performance Paradigm,the article suggests three ways to correct audience paradigms:viewing audience as the imagination subjects of social practice,exploring audience mediascape usage and doing the structuration analysis of audience living context.
