This article explains why the legislators ’ showing behaviors take a large proportion in TV news in Taiwan by understanding and comparing how competitive the legislators earn TV news coverage, and the ratio of their showing behavior in TV news in election and non-election periods. By content analysis, the result indicates the ratio of legislator-related news to all the news is only 6.5% in the non-election period, significantly lower than the election period.
