The paper is aimed to explore how the photojournalists ’ work is gendered. Previous studies have analyzed how female photojournalists ’ bodies are stigmatized and devalued. This study further presents that even the social relationships are also gendered in photojournalists ’ daily life practice. After discussing how male and female photojournalists are doing gender in the workplace and why the photojournalism in Taiwan is highly masculine, I will analyze why the idealistic image of photojournalists is a man instead of a woman, and criticize how the occupational sex segregation continue to exist in Taiwan ’s newspaper.
