本研究旨在探究台灣男同志在戀愛關係終止時運用臉書的行為展現，會產生哪些分手的相關行為與現象，此研究結合內容分析、問卷調查及深入訪談等方法來進行。從本研究結果來看，臉書在分手前後已成為男同志尋求社會支持之重要來源。如果從 Duck (1982)的「關係終止模式」四階段來觀察，台灣男同志在臉書上產生分手前後的階段中，「內在心理」及「雙方關係」等前二階段行為模式與先前異性戀相關研究結果大致相同，但在接續的「社交」階段同志大方展現分手訊息則與先前研究異性戀的含蓄行為展現有所差異，而最後的「善後處理」階段的臉書運用內容也展現出男同志快速在線上移除過去與展現未來的特殊應對儀式。

This study is aimed to examine Taiwanese gay users’ online Facebook experiences, behaviors, and related phenomena when facing romantic relationship dissolution, with the methodologies of content analysis, survey and in-depth interviews. Discussing with Duck’s (1982) four-stage model of relational dissolution, the findings appear that Facebook is an important source for securing social support for gay users before and after the breakup, and the gay users’ experiences are matched with the ideas of first two phases of stages in previous heterosexual studies. Significantly, the findings are much different from the previous studies in the social and grave-dressing phases, and the Facebook is a special platform for coping rituals in the process of breakup.
