結合科學概念與繪本形式的「科普繪本」該掌握哪些原則,才能成為一種受歡迎的通俗文化出版品?本文透過深度訪談,試圖藉由探索閱\聽人如何與具有科學概念的繪本圖文符號互動、蒐集閱\聽人喜好繪本的理由、了解閱\聽人對既有繪本的觀點,進一步發展出一種以科學概念為主體,透過繪本圖文包裝,而形成可被繪本讀者接受的「科普繪本」原型;以吸納原本對繪本感興趣的讀者接觸科學,擴大科學普及的觸達族群,達到推動科學普及的目的。
英文摘要
"Can picture books be a new form of publication to promote popular science?"
This article describes an observation on audience ’s interaction with the texts of picture books containing science concepts. The definition of science picture book and how visual symbols and verbal symbols effect audience ’s interpretation of science picture books are mainly discussed.
Moreover, this article also provides the information, collected from the interviews, about audience ’s general tastes, reading behaviors and opinions toward picture books. In the end, some suggestions to produce the prototype of science picture books for promoting popular science are proposed.
