公共新聞學之公眾理論與實踐—從Dewey探廣電新聞訪問者如何實踐公眾理念
The public ideal and practice of public journalism: from the public ideal of Dewey to the language practices of a broadcast news interviewer
This study argues that public journalism tends to ignore the controversies in its public concept and the most important language tool which journalists own. To resolve those deficiencies, based on John Dewey, this study proposes an ideal public for public journalists. On the other hand, this paper focuses on broadcast news interviews to discuss how a broadcast news interviewer uses language to help audience form an ideal public. By conducting a case study, this paper tries to open a dialogue between a public theory and language practices, and makes suggestions for broadcast news interviewers.
